Communications & Engagement Coordinator

As Communications & Engagement Coordinator, Cleome (she/her) wears many hats to support systems change work at Urban Matters. Her technical and academic background shapes her way of thinking about complex social challenges to produce creative ideas for storytelling and strategy. She is passionate about sustainable community development and has a valuable perspective from years of experience at grassroots nonprofits supporting causes such as food security, gender equity, and ecological stewardship. Cleome holds a Bachelor of Arts in Geography from the University of Victoria and a Diploma in Graphic Design from the Visual College of Art & Design. Cleome is lucky to live, work, and play on the unceded and occupied territories of the Lekwungen-speaking peoples in Victoria, BC.
